For Information Ryton Golf Club greens had some specialist work done on Monday 16 October 2023.

This work is preparation to keep the greens healthy after the busy summer.

Mark Kerr carried out Verti-Draining which supports aeration using specialist machinery. It works by using tines at various diameters to create equally spaced holes in the turf. Typically the holes are around 8-12 inches deep. This reduces deep seated compaction and keeps the turf healthy by creating a deeper, aerated and free-draining soil profile.
