The Club is extremely sad to inform members of the recent passing of Jean Reid at the age of 75, after battling with kidney disease for many years.  Jean was a long-standing member of the ladies section, having joined the Club at the end of 1991 and a lovely lady who always put others first.  She was an excellent golfer and an integral part of the ladies team that reached the finals of the Mail on Sunday competition in El Rompido in 2013.  Jean played in both matches in Spain despite her health issues. She also won many trophies during her time playing golf at Ryton, including the Eclectic Cup in 2003, the Blake Rose Bowl in 2008 and the Coronation Cup in 2017.  She will be very sadly missed by her family, her husband Ronnie, daughters and grandchildren.

Jean's funeral will be held on 12th August at 1230 hrs, Mountsett Crematorium, Dipton, Stanley, DH9 9JP
