The Club is greatly saddened to announce the very sudden death of one of its well-known members, Derek Bainbridge, at the far too early age of 62.  Derek joined Ryton in 2001 and was a familiar figure in the clubhouse after his early tee times playing golf on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Derek was a true gentleman and very generously sponsored the new mat put in place just a few months ago at the 5th tee. 

He will be greatly missed by everyone at the Club who knew him, on and off the golf course.  Our thoughts are with his wife, family and friends at this very sad time.

The funeral will be held at Mountsett Crematorium on Wednesday June 5th at 14.45 pm.
