Ryton Golf Club celebrated its centenary in 1991 and since then has invested in an ambitious improvement programme for the course, with the instalation of on course irrigation and improved drainage. We have also implimented a tree planting scheme which saw over 1,000 new plantings. The results of this work is reflected in the compliments that are showered on the course by visitors and members alike.

The club is now a member of the Tyne Valley Golf Alliance. This allows all full members to play one free round of golf at all participating clubs. The following list of clubs are Alliance members, Allendale, Garesfield, Prudhoe, Ryton, Stocksfield and Tynedale.
