Ryton Ladies section is relatively small and very friendly and welcomes all new lady members. We play almost all of our club competitions at the weekend, with Sunday our main competition day - an attractive option for ladies who have weekday commitments. We have a small successful junior section and for those ladies who do not work there are friendly games on a Tuesday morning followed by coffee and a chat. Social events are regularly organized and well attended.

Results

Our first team progressed to the last 16 of the Mail on Sunday competition in 2008 and round 5 in the 2009 competition, losing to The Hirsel Golf Club.

Bev Wears And Lucy Harris reached the 3rd round of the Daily Mail Foursomes this year

Gill Beauchamp and Jen Errington won the Ping Four ball Better Ball qualifier

Ladies Invitational Day on 24th May was won by Linda Etherington-Tait (Ryton) and Maureen Angus (Ponteland).

Maggie Myers qualified for the Journal Trophy final, scoring a net 67, and will represent Ryton in the final at Crook Golf Club on 5th August.
